Centrestage 2021

Centrestage 2021 is an introductory event space created for a fashion trade event in Hong Kong. The 600 square metre space was used for opening receptions, fashion presentations and, in default mode, an audio-visual experience. The concept, named Chapter Infinity, was inspired by drawings of impossible spaces. Suspended LED screens, a floating staircase, an infinity mirror and overlapping planes of mesh, mirror and acrylic form the setting. All items were prefabricated off site to allow a three-day installation. Reusable aluminium frames and biodegradable carpets were used.

EYE

Eye is an outdoor wedding ceremony design staged inside an ancient city in Suzhou. The theme is drawn from the bridegroom's first sight of the bride's eyes. Separable sprayed ironwork installations sketch the contour of an eye and form a three-dimensional shape that reads as an eye from above and from the side. The pupil is made of wave-like spangles that glow in sunlight. The floral decorations use dark and light blue tones and are recyclable. The guest area encircles the couple, so the ceremony can be witnessed from many angles.

The architecture combines LED screen blocks, glass blocks, neon lights and frames with concrete, glass and dark matte wood. Depth data from a motion camera is processed and visualized in real time. The installation expresses the idea of services that surround the user.

The intent is to reach younger customers who value real experiences and social sharing. The first installment was presented at the department store Lane Crawford.
