Feel the Vineyard

Feel the Vineyard is an exhibition design created for a wine and spirits trade fair in Hong Kong. The layout covers eight hundred thirty-three square meters and holds booths for 255 wine brands. The theme is a winery. Wood, grass and metal are the main materials. Wooden patterns recall traditional barrels, while grass suggests a grape orchard. Wired metal cabinets were chosen for the display units to save space and to allow flexible arrangements. An aroma wall presents the different scents of Australian wines, and a wine bar offers a relaxed tasting area.

The theme is inspired by 1980s laundromat interiors. Decorative walls are built with reusable aluminium systems clad in vinyl graphics, and printed plywood forms the washing machine facades. The colours follow the seasonal fashion trend forecast.

Central Rat Race

The project was a charity race by making use of streets, footbridges and walkways of commercial buildings, which had a relay of 8 legs to symbolize the rat race of white collars in a city. The race was designed as a mini-scene recreation of the corporate ladder from graduate to senior executive. The relay reflected the trials and tribulations of the breakneck corporate environment. Another gimmick was two large-scale fitness games in the form of a rat running wheel and a rat trap set up in the heart of CBD for the public to experience what was like a rat.
